Coffee filter flowers

Coffee filter flowers Valentines day classroom idea

Coffee filter flowers are very simple to make and they look beautiful. We inserted a lollipop in the middle to make it more presentable for Valentine’s day.

Materials needed:

1. Coffee filters
2. Crayola Watercolor
3. Lollipop
4. Tape
Method :

1. Color the coffee filters with watercolor. The color of the filter was not vibrant after drying. So we used a lot of watercolors.
2. Dry the filters. It should not take much time. But we did the flowers next day after coloring.

3. Poke a small hole in the middle of the coffee filter. Insert the lollipop in the hole.
4. Hold the middle of the paper near the lollipop with thumb and index finger. With the other hand, bunch up the paper from the bottom from where are you holding to the top to look like a flower.
5. Twist the part near the middle where you are holding and attach it to the stick of the lollipop with the tape. Coffee filter flower is made!
6. If you want you can add additional layers to the flower in the same manner. You can attach a tag with the Valentine’s day message.

As the coffee filters can be easily colored in bunches and making a flower takes less than 2 minutes, it is ideal for gift for classroom.
