Paper cutting fun for kids

Shamrock garland

Hi Everone,
We got hooked on paper cutting after we created connected people.  We tried connected Shamrock as St.Patrick’s day craft is around the corner.
My daughter wanted to have one shamrock down simply because it looks more like a garland
Material Needed

1. Green construction paper
2. Scissors
3. Pencil
4. Template (optional)
Method
Step 1: Fold and cut the paper in half lengthwise. We glued  back the paper lengthwise as we needed to increase the length of the paper.
Step 2: Accordion fold the paper. The fold’s width should match the width given in the template. The fold’s length does not matter as it may get adjusted when we cut.
Step 3: Cut out the template
Step 4: Draw the template on the first page of the fold. If you are not using the template, draw half the heart lengthwise connected by a whole heart width-wise. Use the template as reference.
Step 5: Cut on the line using a scissors. Make sure not to cut on the space mentioned as don’t cut in the template as it is the connecting area of the Shamrocks
As you see, the garland is little short. We should have added more paper.
If you want to create one, please feel to use our template.

Note : If you need a bigger garland, connect more papers before folding.
If you create a garland or banner using the template, please share your creation with us!
Happy Papercutting!
