Paper mache is simple but messy. We have done paper mache Easter egg decorated with stickers earlier. Again we tried paper mache technique to decorate the Easter egg.
Materials needed :
1. Plastic egg
2. Colored tissue paper (gift wrapping paper from dollar store)
3. White tissue paper or tracing paper
4. Glue
5. Small flower punch
Method:
1. Cut the colored tissue paper into small rectangles.
2. Punch out small flowers from the colored tissue paper.
When my daughter punched out the first flower, a piece of the paper got stuck inside the punch and we could not punch out properly after that.
3. Mix glue with water in the ratio of 1:1
4. Cover the plastic egg with the white tissue paper.
5. Dip the colored tissue paper in the glue solution and paste over the white tissue paper. The flower (?) design will be white in color.
6. Continue pasting the tissue papers overlapping but not covering the white flowers.
7. Let it dry!
Our flowers are not visible because of our punch machine problem. However my daughter loved the output. It is beautful!
