flower painting ideas with kids

Paper flower stamping

My elder daughter wanted to do flower printing, when she saw my toddler’s toilet roll flower printing. Considering her age, we did rolled paper flower printing.

Materials needed:

1. Construction papers

2. Scissors

3. Tempera paint

 Method:

1.Cut the construction paper lengthwise to 3 to 4 pieces. The width of the paper does not matter.

2. Roll your paper. Glue the end of the paper to the roll.

3. Make four vertical slits at one of ends. Fan them out.
Since I wanted to make sure that the project works, I took the photos after printing
 4. Dip the petals on the paint and stamp them on the paper. Four petals flowers are formed. Rotate the rolled paper and fill the empty space between the petals to form eight petals flowers.
5. We experimented creating flowers with different diameter of the rolls and slit sizes.
It is a very simple printing project. But my daughter enjoyed so much!

  1. Brilliant! I’ve been getting the girls ready for some TP roll art, this is just another way to add on to the fun. Thanks for sharing! Have you tried any other designs, or just the slits?
