Blogger post content and image protection – Disable right click

Hi Everyone,
I started blogging before  5 years at my another blog which is in Tamil, one of the oldest languages. Only after few months of blogging, I could see my daughter’s  pictures floating around the net. It was stolen taken from my site. Recently I noticed that 2 posts from my same blog was published in a facebook face without any recognition. I started to research to protect my contents. I have shared what I have learned.
One of the ways to protect your image or content is disabling the right click! Disabling the right click will not completely 100% remove the problem but it can reduce.
So, lets take the first step towards the protection of our content and images!
Steps to disable the right click :
1. Login into blogger
2. From the dashboard, choose layout
3. Click on “Add a gadget” from the side bar

4. Choose HTML/JavaScript from the pop up menu

5. Copy the script from Dynamic Drive. Enter in the text box. Click on “save”. The HTML/JavaScript will be added as the first element. Click on Save Arrangement at the top of the page. The right click disable message is visible only on right click on anywhere on the page. Otherwise nothing is displayed on the page when loaded.
Verify whether the code is working by right clicking on your page.
You are done!
Note : One more way to protect the images is to watermark.  Though watermark will not protect the images from copying, it can help to claim the ownership. If you need to know how to watermark your pictures using Picmonkey, the free online editor, you can check out  these posts : Watermark pictures option 1 and Watermark pictures option 2
